Depending on if you prefer to use the CT(CAT) or BT tooling, your machine will be configured CT or BT from the factory. The clips are fairly similar; however, the BT style is a thicker clip and more pronounced grip ends than the CT sister clip.

Both CT and BT style ATC clips work well, but the CT is far more popular in the United States. If you happen to purchase or acquire a machine that has one or the other and you prefer to switch with no problem. Just flip the ATC plate, remove all the old clips, and replace with the new style you need. It is all interchangeable with new clips.
